CULTURE, CREATIVITY & ETHICS AT THE HEART OF THE CONTINENT

TIFARI is a committed marketplace dedicated to showcasing African creators, artisans, and brands. We celebrate authentic craftsmanship and the cultural richness of the continent through a curated selection of responsible products: fashion, home decor, art, accessories, and unique pieces.

Our mission is to reconnect the diaspora and lovers of African culture with their roots by bringing together tradition, modernity, and conscious consumption within an ethical and inclusive platform.

Discover the world of TIFARI and explore a new way of consuming: sustainable, cultural, and deeply human.

A COMMITTED AND MEANINGFUL SELECTION

At TIFARI, every creation tells a story. We select African and Afro-inspired brands that share our values: sustainability, authenticity, fair trade, and respect for traditional craftsmanship.

Our marketplace brings together several complementary commitments: local craftsmanship, circular economy, natural materials, responsible second-hand, ethical fashion, fair production, sustainable labels, and direct support for creators.

TIFARI represents conscious and cultural consumption, where every purchase highlights talent, preserves heritage, and supports a sustainable creative economy.

OUR COMMITMENTS AND OUR METHOD

1) What we do

We highlight brands and artisans, particularly from Senegal and Africa, with special attention to origin, handmade production, materials and durability. We avoid vague claims and prioritize factual, verifiable information.

2) O ur verification method
We ask the seller for evidence appropriate to the claim (e.g. certificate, technical sheet, dated statement, workshop photos, traceability). If a claim is ambiguous or insufficiently supported, we may clarify it or remove it from the product page.

3) What our mentions mean
“Made in Senegal / Africa”: main place of production as declared by the brand/seller.
“Handmade / artisanal”: a significant share of manual work (workshop, techniques, finishing).
“Natural materials”: describes the material (e.g. raffia, cotton, leather, shea) – this does not
automatically mean “low environmental impact”.
“Organic”: used only when an objective basis exists (depending on the category: certification, material
proof, or equivalent).

4) Labels and certifications

When a relevant label/certificate exists, we indicate it. The absence of a label does not mean that a product lacks quality: some artisans do not have access to them; in such cases, we rely on
alternative forms of evidence.
